EVENTO
Successive Operations with Real Variable Applied to Representing Special functions and Computational Modeling
Tipo de evento: Exame de Qualificação
Successive products were originally developed starting from successive operations applied on integer‐indexed sequences and have been applied to solve recursive equations also indexed by integers (see [1]‐[6]). This thesis presents an extension of successive products from the integer to the real domain, that is performed by proposing a new recursive system of equations and establishing the methodology to solve them. This approach is applied to efficiently represent and compute known special functions, like gamma, factorial, and double factorials, among others. Moreover, beyond the special ones, other functions become representable by successive products, adding other resources for analysis and mathematical modeling.Para assistir acesse:meet.google.com/ywm-msdr-qfm
